CMS Expenditure Submissions Module: User Research
This project is one module of several to redesign and modernize a 15-year old system that States use to submit their Budget and Expenditures to Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMCS). States will use the Expenditures module each quarter to report their Medicaid and Medicare Services costs and expenses.
My Role: UX Designer. Assisted with user discovery interviews; analyzed user interviews findings; designed 2 user journey maps; presented research findings and journey maps to users nationwide. UX design is now in progress.

SSA Earnings Queries System​ Redesign: User Research & Design Concepts
IT Modernization and redesign of an old green screen system that technicians at the Social Security Administration use to view earnings records for customers and beneficiaries.
My Role: Lead UX Designer. Designed a conceptual model, validated model with users via testing, prototype design in Axure, planned and facilitated usability testing.

SSA Earning Queries Redesign: Prototype Design & Usability Testing
This project is a continuation of Project 2 for the Social Security Administration. In this stage, designing and building a prototype in Axure began. The UX team conducted usability testing on a functional prototype.
My Role: Lead UX Designer. Designed a prototype and planned, facilitated usability testing, determined findings.

Earnings Corrections System Redesign
The Earnings Corrections project is another Social Security Administration IT Modernization project to modernize the existing green screen application and replace it with a web-based application.
My Role: Lead UX Designer. Planned and performed initial discovery and research.

Journey Maps of Future Visions for Customer Interaction with SSA
Created for Northrup Grumman technology symposium held for the Social Security Administration (SSA), these journey maps depict two different visual representations of a user’s possible future interaction with the agency.
My Role: Designer including collaboration with the team to plan and brainstorm and create affinity diagrams, sketching, designing in Illustrator

UX Guerilla Lab​
For the redesign of the Social Security Administration's Human Resources intranet website, research was conducted in a fun, agile-like fashion in the SSA cafeteria during lunch hours to reach as many employees as possible.
My Role: UX designer. Assisted with research (discussions with subject matter experts), brainstormed and planned a quick way to get feedback, facilitator during the lab sessions, assisted in analyzing results and presenting to the Human Resources team

This project was another phase of the FG Life Product Information Interface redesign (Project 9). This phase involved incorporating the product information interface into a product portal where agents could find and search for types of products.

Case Study: Wayfinding Application​
Overview: Project completed for a 6-day user experience bootcamp at Rutgers University. The goal of the project was to design an application that would allow students to quickly find and reach their on-campus destination.
